About Astroscreen

Astroscreen is a VC-backed startup focused on making social networks healthier and safer. Our first product, Moderate, is a Twitter moderation queue that allows users to easily block and mute trolls, bots and online mobs.


The Role

We’re seeking an associate to acquire users for our consumer product, which protects high-profile people from harassment on social networks. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing technology brand that is making a difference in people’s lives. We’ve spent the past two years developing our technology and product and have hit interesting user milestones. Now we are entering our next phase of growth. This role will accelerate this with a focus on outreach to journalists as our first user group.


To be successful in this position, you will need a good understanding of how social media works, and a desire to make social networks a safer place. You are interested in compelling storytelling and are a strong writer that can concisely present ideas that motivate and compel people to use our product. You can adjust your message to figure out what resonates with users.


Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Identify people, organizations and communities who can benefit from Astroscreen’s solution to protect people from social media harassment
  • Develop, test and iterate messaging across multiple user personas, to find out messaging that resonates with our prospective users and optimise conversation rates
  • Reach out to prospective users via email and give product demos
  • Work closely with our Product Manager to provide valuable feedback (based on your conversations with prospects) to guide our product roadmap and improve the customer experience.
  • Work with weekly schedules to achieve defined productivity goals

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial with an ability to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys autonomy and has a bias for action
  • Previous experience in tech sales or growth preferred
  • Excellent communicator with PR or Journalism background preferred
